I am co-director of the Center for Comparative Philosophy and the Harmony Humanities Lab at Duke University. In these roles, I help build intellectual communities around ancient and comparative philosophy through conferences, workshops, reading groups, public programming, and book-launch events.
Recent initiatives include the Harmony workshops in comparative philosophy, which bring Greek and Chinese philosophical traditions into dialogue; the 2025 Northeast Conference on Chinese Thought, an interdisciplinary gathering of scholars working on Chinese thought; and the Duke–UNC Work-in-Progress Series in Ancient Greek and Roman Philosophy, which provides a collegial forum for discussing developing research. I have also helped organize Duke–UNC workshops in ancient philosophy, book-launch events, and a continuing reading group in classical Chinese philosophy.
